Terms of Service

Last updated 30 September 2026 · ORYX Business is provided by the operator of ORYX Business.

1. The service

ORYX Business is online software for South African businesses to prepare quotes, invoices, credit notes and statements, record payments and, depending on the plan, manage expenses, bank records and stock. It helps you keep records; it is not accounting, tax or legal advice, and you remain responsible for the correctness of your records and your tax submissions to SARS.

2. Your account

You must give correct details when you sign up and keep your password private. The person who opens the account is its owner and may invite others; the owner is responsible for what people they invite do in the account. Tell us straight away at finhub@jacobsinc.co if you think someone else has access.

3. Trial, plans and payment

New accounts start with a free trial of the plan chosen. Nothing is charged during the trial and no card is needed. To keep using ORYX Business after the trial, you subscribe to a monthly plan at the price shown to you at that time. Prices exclude VAT unless stated. You may cancel at the end of any month.

4. Your data

The information you put into ORYX Business stays yours. We process it only to provide the service, as set out in our Privacy Policy. You can export your documents at any time, and when you close your account we delete your data after a reasonable period unless the law requires us to keep it.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the service for anything unlawful, to send spam, to try to break into other accounts or the system, or in a way that overloads it. We may suspend an account that does.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and your data backed up, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. We may improve or change features; if a change materially reduces what your paid plan includes, we will tell you beforehand.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

8. General

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. If we change them we will show the new version here and, for material changes, tell you by email. Questions: finhub@jacobsinc.co.
